Disclaimer: The CLU Rust project is still in its conceptualization and planning stages, so everything discussed in this post is subject to change.
If you’re new to Rust or just enjoy the aspect of playing in a survival-specific world where you can build a great farming empire, or commune with others like yourself and start a massive community, then CLU’s goal towards a PVE (player versus environment) server may be the perfect fit for you.
Difficulty Level: Novice
As of right now, the creator behind the Rust Project, Gordon, intends to play around with different types of implementations to ensure the full PVE experience is possible. In a true PVE server, death by another player would be impossible. This permits you, the player, to only combat the angry advances of a hungry bear or territorial boar — maybe a crazy scientist or two — instead of your fellow Rust player.
The PVE experience will be more about learning how to play Rust properly or hang out in a way that might get you poisoned by radiation or eaten by a shark. Not going to lie, being eaten by a shark is one of my fondest Rust memories. Join the CLU Discord and ask me about it.
CLU events and giveaways will be catered to each server to ensure everyone can participate, so expect each level will be taken into account.
Becoming a Legend in Rust:
This CLU chick is going to give you cute little tricks to help you become a Rust-savvy desperado.
In PVE, you’ll be given the freedom to create your own adventure. But to ensure a great farming empire or large community, make sure to watch your crops carefully for genetics and collect hordes of necessary resources.
Cloning the Right Genetics: Becoming a master farmer was never easier! The more H (hardy), Y (yield), G (growth) you have, the better the crop. Aim for only one red genetic, and make sure to clone the best to ensure the greatest farm that ever did farm.
Brew the Perfect Tea: Nothing but berries up in this place. Teas, made with berries and a mixing table, are necessary for better gathering of wood, minerals, and scrap. If your intention is to build a community and party it up with your friends, getting high yield on materials is a must. Make sure you brew some tea and gather in style.
Be part of the change: The creator behind the Rust Project wants to incorporate everything about the CLUmmunity in his maps. You could be the reason one of our monuments has its name!
