If you’re part of the CLU Discord community, you’ve probably heard the fancy word Goobers mentioned in a sentence a few times.
The whispering CLU members, the excitable staff, the sneak peeks from DNP3, all of it leaves a person wondering: what are these infamous Goobers and how does one make them their friend?
I mean, just simply saying Goobers puts a smile on my face. Better still, knowing the collective genius behind Sneaky Bro Art are the ones responsible for the artwork means we can expect nothing but quality.
First, Goobers — or if you speak DNP3, the Generative Goobers Collection — is an upcoming NFT (non-fungible token) collection that the people behind CluCoin have been working on in secret for some months. After the painstaking process of discussing, planning, and putting these NFTs together, CluCoin intends to launch the collection soon.
So, what can you expect from the Goobers Collection?
First and foremost, Goobers are cute, lovable, and you’ll absolutely want to name and pet them. Their accessories, body colors, outfits, and backgrounds will be randomized upon creation, so every Goobers will be a surprise!
Categories of Goobers include: common, rare, uber rare, and super uber rare. (And yes, I spent a fair amount of time giggling while repeating “super uber rare” over and over until I could say it right). Like its name suggests, each NFT will be randomly chosen with each Goobers purchase.
Where can I get my Goobers pal? Goobers will be purchasable first on pre-sale via the Goobers’ website and then later on Opensea.io.
What is the total supply? Only 15,000 Goobers will ever exist in total, so you can bet this CluChick will have more than her fair share. I intend to catch them all and build a Goobers haven, where they can roam free and glob around in the open meadows of lovely harmony.

CLU Goobers Purchases: A portion of the CLU used to purchase these cute little NFTs will be burned.
Marketing Fees: 30% of the fees on the secondary market sales, Opensea, will be used for burning and buying CLU.
What are the CLU-holder benefits to keeping Goobers?
CLU Hold-to-Earn Roles: A CLU holder’s Hold-to-Earn role will qualify them for a future Goobers airdrop, and who doesn’t want a stork-like delivery based off of the cutest NFT to hit the market since…ever?!
Special Quests: Goobers holders will qualify for special quests, and a little birdie (might have been a dog, actually) told me that those who complete their quests could even get a super sweet reward!
CLU Governance: CLU members who hold Goobers will be given a small bonus in relation to CLU governance yields.
